I see way too much of this card in blackwings. I dont give a grape if you cant get vayu, you still dont run this plum. Just because its got blackwing in its name and can still use it's ability when its been shura'd out doesnt make it playable. Bad card is bad and I never want to see this an another deck.
If you want another lvl2 tuner, I heard blizzard was pretty good.
This leads me to believe that I have overlooked something. So now etc, you will enlighten me as to why this is apparently such a good card.

I completely agree that this should not see play unless you have already maxed out on Blizzards lol.
Edit:
The only decent argument I have heard is that it is the final target for Whirlwind, but there isn't much reason to go that far. But some will say it is nice.
It is the easiest allure options too, but only because it sucks.
Pretty much I only see them arguing it because it is a tuner and they want to justity more cards that allow synchros.

Another target for Shura that isn't completely dead when you draw it as Vayu is. If you don't get that it's good just for that reason, then don't worry about looking at BW Decks. =\
Eh. My jank build has a pair of mistrals but if they are on the field, Icarus will be going DERP DERP on your field the moment I have two targets. Either that of cheap AW summon and set up a Blizzard for the next turn.
so I shouldn't play blackwings because I dont like bad cards?
mk.
I ran blackwings at nationals btw. t64. I know how the deck works. Even moreso this format. Dont run this plum. bad.

I doubt my opponent will even let me keep shura on the field that long to get those 6 monsters. And, that's only if I decide not to synch with it, which I probably will.

Kalut should never be shura'd, there are very rare instances

Exactly.
Mistral is so underrated. Solid defense, level two tuner and can be tutored by Shura.

"There is nothing in this world that is truly "perfect". Though it may be a rather large cliché, it is still the truth. It is the ordinary people who look up to "perfection" as an ideal and seek after it. But in truth, what is this idea of "perfection" truly worth? Nothing. Not a single thing. I detest "perfection". To be "perfect" is to be unable to improve any further. There would be no scope for "creation", not a single gap in one's knowledge or one's ability. Do you see now? To true scientists like you and I, "Perfection" is tantamount to "despair". We aspire to reach greater levels of brilliance than ever before, but never, NEVER, to reach perfection. That is the paradox through which we scientists must struggle. Indeed, it is our duty to find pleasure in that struggle. In other words, the second you allowed yourself to spout a ridiculous word like "perfect", in truth, you had already been defeated. That is if you wish to be treated as a scientist."
Mistral is ok
The fact vayu makes free beatsticks in the graveyard is what makes it so good
1 mistral is fine, I prefer to not run it and I only run 1 vayu
The fact you can search it with anything in the deck including vayu makes it decent since you don't have to worry about drawing it
and worst comes to worst it's icarus fodder, which is better than summoning a kalut or a shura for icarus
Kalut should never be shura'd and should rarely be summoned
That card is too good to throw around like that

Personally I run 1 Vayu and 1 Mistral in my build. Getting off a Vayu grave synchro in a pure Blackwing deck happens alot less then you would expect.

Aside from the redundant fact that cards in the deck can never be targeted, Blizzard can't be special summoned, & Kalut/Gale have no business being wasted with Shura's effect unless you actually need their field presence to avoid getting boned. With that being said (multiple times I might add), Emblem & Shield are essencially the only monsters you'll wanna special summon with Shura, so lets stick with this.
So... since Vayu's easily the superior choice for using Shura as something besides a themed 1800, the most I'd run of Minstrel is 1 copy, and it would likely end up getting sided out for 90% of the games anyway. I like the artwork, though.
